ABOUT

Céline Bader is a Music Composer, Sound Designer and Audio Engineer, currently based in Berlin.

 

Born in 1993 as french-german, she started her studies in musicology and media studies in 2011 at the Humboldt University of Berlin, from which she succesfully graduated in 2014.

After moving to Barcelona for an internship at the Soiart Studios, she started to study Audio Engineering at the School of Entertainment and Technology. She was awarded her certificate in 2016, which permitted her to start a Master in Sound Art (Sound Creation and Sound Design) at the Universitat de Barcelona, from which she graduated in May 2018.

 

Her affinity with music comes from early ages. Since her childhood, she has been playing violin, guitar and piano, and has eversince gained a lot of experience playing in different bands and collectives, as well as composing as a singer/songwriter. These qualities are supporting her in the recording studio, since her clients can not only rely on her technical skills but also on her creative affinity.

She started to work as a sound technician in Barcelona in 2015, setting the sound for live concerts and events for different agencies in Barcelona (Bravogama, Soiart Live) in positions such as F.O.H., Monitoring and Setup Technician. Meanwhile, she was the main responsible for the live sound in the venue Bogart – Teca i Arts (2016) and in the cultural concert venue Diobar - mons de música (2017-2018), where she learned amongst others how to treat the sound of exceptional and intriguing instruments from different cultures all over the world. 

She is experienced to work with analogue as well as digital mixing consoles, and has an experience of more than 100 concerts.

Between 2015 and 2018, she has been an active member of the Soiart Studio-Team, working as Mixing Engineer, Recording Engineer and/or Session-Assistant.

 

She started to work for visuals in 2016, creating the sound design for short movies in the post-production and the live sound recording on the movie sets for short films, interviews, making-ofs and commercials.​

After she moved back to Berlin in 2019, she worked with TaunusFilm Synchron Berlin for two and a half years, creating the german dubbed versions of international movies and TV shows as a sound designer/cutter/editor for clients such as HBO, BBC, ARTE, Studiocanal, SKY, ZDF, ARD, Tobis, NFP, Wildbunch, ITV etc.

In March 2021, she decided that the time had come to start her own business. She created Sound Of Céline, and is since then offering her experience in Music, Film and Audio Design to provide services as a Music Composer, Sound Designer and Audio Engineer. Her current clients are amongst others Podcast Creators (BosePark Media, ARD Mediathek, Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, Rosa Mag) Dubbing Companies (VSI Berlin, Interopa, Studio Hamburg, TaunusFilm Synchron), Audio Book Producers (StoryMakers Media) as well as independent artists and musicians.

Céline speaks 5 languages fluently (english, german, french, spanish, catalan) and is available for international projects.
